Michael Faulkner spent six formative years learning leadership, management and organizational style the U.S Marine Corps way as a combat Non Commission Officer. Michael then spent 33 years in a variety of leadership and management (“coaching”) positions with Fortune 500 firms including Dun & Bradstreet, a major nonprofit trade association – The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) entrepreneur start-ups as well as helping run the family business for the past 40 years.
Michael Graduated Cum Laude from Rutgers in 1973 where he attended on a fencing & baseball scholarship He was twice national athletic dueling champion, and was named to the All New Jersey Colligate All Star baseball team. He received his MBA from the New York Institute of Technology in 1991 and a MS degree in Direct Marketing Communications from NYU in 2001. Michael earned his Doctorate in 2006 from Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is currently working on his second MBA in Entrepreneurial Business Funding.
Michael became a member of Phi Theta Kappa when he earned his associate degree from St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley in 1971. He was awarded the DeVry University Innovative and Creative Teacher Award 2009 and the Keller Scholarship Award in 2015. He is a past recipient of the New York Society of Association (NYSAE) Executives Chairperson of the Year, 2004; The NYSAE Outstanding Association Executive 2007, the Direct Marketing Association of NY Silver Apple Award 2003; the American Society of Association Executives Marketer of the Year, 1986; a 1972 Rotary International Fellowship, and he is a member of the MENSA Society. Michael has published in three peer reviewed journals, dozens of magazines, half dozen white papers, including one that was circulated to all elected members of congress and major media outlets; he has published 20 books and has written two one-act plays. His hobbies are reading, weight lifting, karate and boxing.
